Cheap villa holidays

Cheap villa holidays

Trawling through the internet for late villa deals may seem a great way to cut the cost of your villa holidays. However, it can be awfully time-consuming and if you already have a holiday villa in mind then the search can often become fruitless, yielding little or no results. With this in mind we have some great ideas for not only finding special offers on your villa holidays but also for cutting your overall holiday cost:

Out of Season Deals

If you don’t have any children then it is sensible to wait until the end of the summer holidays before embarking on your villa break. Many companies offer villa deals later on in the year when the school holidays have finished and you will notice a sharp decrease in price from the first week of September onwards. The special offers on your villa holiday aren’t the only benefit that you’ll receive from holidaying later in the year; the beaches which were only a week before crowded will be devoid of school age children and you’ll find that restaurants, theme parks and even once bustling bars all offer out-of-season deals. If you decide to holiday in Spain then you’ll soon discover that the party is only just beginning, two of Spain’s most important fiestas take place towards the end of September; Cava Week and the huge Festes De La Merce both of which are missed out by holidaymakers travelling in season.

Fly With a Budget Airline

It’s no good searching online for special offers on villas in Spain if you already have your heart set on a particular accommodation. If you can’t find any late deals for your villa holiday then another way of cutting costs is by flying with a budget airline to your destination. By signing up to the Ryanair, EasyJet or WizzAir newsletters you’ll be notified by email when special deals are taking place, such as Ryanair’s Free Flight events, and you can then book your villa holiday around this. The flights may be strictly no frills but for a couple of hours of discomfort you can knock pounds off your total holiday cost.

Holiday with Friends

You and your friends may have chatted over a few wines about how great it would be to all go on holiday together and then promptly forgotten about it with the rest of that evening’s memories the next day. But holidaying with your friends isn’t just a great bonding experience; it’s also an excellent way of splitting costs. A luxury villa for ten with its own swimming pool and Jacuzzi can often work out cheaper on a per person basis than a smaller villa for two, which offers less in terms of amenities. Some companies will even offer special offers on their villa holidays for larger groups of people and once you’ve reached the destination it is possible to negotiate group rates on theme parks and local restaurants, particularly if you’re also travelling out of season in a late villa deal.

Self-Catering

Villa holidays have always been self-catered, but this doesn’t mean that you need to eat out every evening at expensive local restaurants. A great way to really immerse yourself in the culture is by shopping at local markets and haggling over the price of traditional produce in the countries native tongue. This is not only an incredible experience but a great way to interact with the locals and at the same time save cash. If you are travelling with friends then you can also take it in turns to cook the evening meal and buy ingredients. Fresh bread and olives also make a welcome change from greasy cafeteria food if you’re visiting attractions or theme-parks during the day.
